Before you choose a provider

Choose a vacation-rental cleaner with a clearer comparison

The useful question is not just who can clean a house. It is whether the provider can agree to the work, timing, and communication your rental needs. Compare answers against the same property brief, and distinguish confirmed arrangements from general descriptions of what a company might offer.

Give every provider the same starting information

Prepare the general location, bedrooms, bathrooms, extra sleeping spaces, requested dates, and known guest times. Describe the property's current condition, not only its appearance in listing photos. Name any tasks you are unsure about so they can be addressed before you compare prices.

In a hypothetical comparison, one provider receives a request for a standard changeover and another receives a request that also mentions appliance interiors. Their figures do not answer the same question until the scope is aligned.

Ask what the proposed clean actually covers

Request a plain description of included work and exclusions for your property. Ask separately about laundry, linen changes, supplies, inspections, and deeper cleaning. Do not assume those tasks are part of a vacation-rental clean simply because they matter to the guest handoff.

Ask how a condition outside the agreed scope would be handled. Who would be contacted, what information would they receive, and how would additional work be authorized? A clear answer is more useful than a broad promise to handle everything.

Test the scheduling arrangement against real dates

Ask about the dates and windows you actually need, including any overlapping departures. General availability does not confirm a particular visit. Find out how a request becomes an appointment and what to do when a reservation changes.

If you need support across several homes, disclose that early. Do not infer capacity, recurring availability, or an automatic connection to your reservation calendar from a provider's work with vacation rentals. Each arrangement needs its own confirmation.

Check the details that matter to your decision

If insurance, references, or other documentation matter to your requirements, ask the provider for current information and review what it establishes. This guide does not make claims about Lamarks' insurance, credentials, ratings, or guarantees.

Clarify the final amount, applicable taxes, extras, payment arrangements, and any terms for changes or cancellations before agreeing. Ask questions about omissions rather than filling the gaps with expectations from a previous cleaner. Keep the agreed version somewhere you can refer to later.

Choose based on answered questions, not assumptions

Summarize the comparison under four headings: work, timing, communication, and cost. Mark anything unresolved. An unanswered requirement should remain visible until you can decide whether the proposed arrangement fits.

Lamarks, run by Laura and Marcelo, specializes in vacation-home and Airbnb changeover cleaning for owners and property managers. To discuss your property, send a quote request with your brief. Submission does not confirm a booking or a response time.

Questions you may have

Should I choose the lowest cleaning quote?

Compare the work and terms first. A lower number may describe a different request or leave an important task unresolved. Decide using the confirmed scope and final amount.

What should I ask about communication?

Ask who receives requests, how appointments are confirmed, and how changes or unexpected conditions should be raised. Do not assume constant availability or an automated notification system.

Can I judge suitability before I know my dates?

You can discuss scope and general needs, but suitability for a specific turnover also depends on personally confirmed availability for that date and window.
